FAQ
Answers about tutor matching, single sessions, monthly support plans, scheduling, and cancellation.
- How do I know which tutor is right for me?
- Submit an inquiry with the course or test, goals, and availability. We’ll recommend a tutor from the team. You can also request a specific tutor on the Our Tutors page. If a match is not working, we will review the situation and arrange a different match when appropriate.
- What does tutoring cost?
- Single sessions are $100. Ongoing academic-support plans begin at $600 per month. See Rates for Single Session, Weekly Academic Support, and Accelerated Academic Support.
- Why do subscriptions cost more than individual sessions?
- Subscriptions cost more because they cover more than the live hour. You get reserved recurring availability, planning around the student’s course, session reporting, practice recommendations, and someone coordinating the match, not just a tutor clocking in for a booked slot.
- How does monthly billing work?
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and provide one or two recurring sessions each week. The number of occurrences in an individual calendar month can vary, but the student retains the agreed weekly frequency.
- Can sessions be rescheduled?
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows count as used sessions. Sessions canceled by Lincoln Sheets Tutoring will be rescheduled or appropriately credited.
- Do unused sessions roll over?
- Subscriptions reserve recurring tutor capacity rather than purchasing a bank of session credits. Missed sessions do not accumulate indefinitely. Any exceptions are handled according to the cancellation policy.
- What does between-session support include?
- Subscribers may send brief questions related to current coursework between sessions. Messaging is intended for clarification and planning, not full asynchronous tutoring or completion of assignments. Responses are normally provided within one business day.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes. Clients may request cancellation before their next billing date. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current paid billing period.
