FAQ
Answers about tutor matching, single sessions, monthly support plans, scheduling, and cancellation.
- How do I know which tutor is right for me?
- Not sure which tutor is the right fit? You don’t need to choose one. Submit an inquiry with your student’s course, goals, and availability, and we will personally recommend the best tutor match. You can also request a specific tutor on the Our Tutors page. If a match is ever not working, we will review the situation and arrange a different match when appropriate.
- What does tutoring cost?
- Single sessions are $100 and include tutor matching, a session report, and relevant materials, with no recurring commitment. Ongoing academic-support plans begin at $600 per month. See Rates for Single Session, Weekly Academic Support, and Accelerated Academic Support.
- Why do subscriptions cost more than individual sessions?
- Monthly plans cost more because of what continues between sessions: reserved recurring time, ongoing academic planning, progress tracking with monthly reviews, limited between-session clarification, and scheduling priority. A $100 single session already includes tutor matching, a session report, and relevant materials, so those shared pieces are not the reason for the monthly premium. See Rates for what each plan adds.
- How does monthly billing work?
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and provide one or two recurring sessions each week. The number of occurrences in an individual calendar month can vary, but the student retains the agreed weekly frequency.
- Can sessions be rescheduled?
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows count as used sessions. Sessions canceled by Lincoln Sheets Tutoring will be rescheduled or appropriately credited.
- Do unused sessions roll over?
- Subscriptions reserve recurring tutor capacity rather than purchasing a bank of session credits. Missed sessions do not accumulate indefinitely. Any exceptions are handled according to the cancellation policy.
- What does between-session support include?
- Subscribers may send brief questions related to current coursework between sessions. Messaging is intended for clarification and planning, not full asynchronous tutoring or completion of assignments. Responses are normally provided within one business day.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes. Clients may request cancellation before their next billing date. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current paid billing period.
